Adeus e boa sorte Elder Kaelin...

"Goodbye and good luck Elder Kaelin!"
(Translation from Portugese to English...)

My little brother Robby is serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and has had quite the adventure so far. He got his mission call last June to serve in the Londrina, Brazil mission. He was supposed to report to the CTM (the MTC in Brazil) on September 1st. Well, his Visa never came, so instead they sent him down to the MTC in Provo. He stayed there for about 8 weeks, and his Visa still hadn't come! So, they decided to send him to California to wait it out. He was sent to serve in the Sacramento, California mission (English speaking). He was there for a while, about 6 weeks or so...when his Visa STILL had not come!! So, they transferred him to Lodi, a Spanish speaking mission in California. So instead of speaking Portuguese in Brazil like we anticipated, he was doing his best to speak Spanish in California!!

Well, after being in Lodi about a week we got word that his Visa FINALLY came through! (only after about 4 and a half months into his mission!!) but hey, we're glad it came through at all! So our little Robby left California today to make the long journey to Brazil. He left California at 8 AM this morning and won't make it to Brazil until tomorrow I think...that's a lot of traveling! We were lucky and able to talk to him throughout the day as he made his way from one airport to another, to another. I am SO excited for my cute brother to finally get to the area which he has been called to serve in. I know he has already been a great missionary to those whom he has worked with and met, and he will only get better as he continues the work in Brazil.
"Good luck Elder!! We love you!"
