The BIG TRIP!!!!!

As some of you may know Blake and I took an AMAZING trip just a couple of weeks ago. My sister and brother-in-law live in Washington DC and we've wanted to go visit them (not to mention Blake served his mission there and he loves to go back and visit whenever he can!). Being that they are only going to live there for the next year or so, it was beautiful spring weather, AND my sister was due to have their second baby, we figured it would be a great time to go! As Blake and I planned the trip we decided it would be fun to take a little road trip from DC up to New York City....and from there the trip just kept getting bigger and bigger, planning more and more fun things along the way! It seriously was SUCH a fun trip :).
As we all know, a picture is worth a thousand words, so instead of typing out and describing to you all about our trip, here are pictures of some of the fun things we did...

. . . . .

Our little nephew, Joshua James, was born right as we landed in DC!
So first stop of the trip...to the hospital!

On our way up to NYC we stopped in Philadelphia and went to Lincoln Financial Field, where the Eagles play!

We went up inside the Washington Monument...incredible 360 degree view of the city!

We took a paddle boat out in the Tidal Basin ... Fun!!! And tiring :)

We saw the Capitals play in the Stanley Cup Semi-Finals!

While there we snuck down on to the ice to try and get a picture...

...and then we got in trouble and kicked out! Ha ha.

Off to see the Capitol

We went on a tour of the Capitol while we were there
